Pretty Apartment Tour

Over the weekend I spent the day with my daughter and her boyfriend at her new apartment. She has such a lovely place and I loved the way they decorated so much that I couldn't wait to share a few pictures with you. So c'mon, join me as I begin the tour by entering the main living space which is open, airy and cozy.

To the left is the kitchen. The standard beige cabinets that most apartments have been replaced with a pretty darker shade of cabinetry. I think it compliments the stainless steel appliances perfectly.
.

My daughter chose subtle shades of yellows, pinks, blues and reds which cheerfully brightens the space making it super fun and inviting.

The pretty art displayed in the dining room makes it seem as if you're overlooking the city while you enjoy a delicious meal.

Here's a better view.

I fell completely in love with the fire place.

I love the candles framing the fireplace and the artwork above it is so pretty. One o these days, I hope to see the Eiffel Tower in person.

Now, follow me through this hallway. It leads to the bedrooms.

The first bedroom is the guest bedroom. This is where I'll be sleeping when I spend the night.

Cozy isn't it?

And I love how they styled the shelf.

The closet in the guest bedroom was also converted into a storage area for crafts. My daughter is a whiz at diy projects. Her creations are really quite amazing. Maybe one day she'll allow to share a few things she's been working on.

Moving on to the master bedroom...

I really love how this room is set up. It's decorated perfectly.

Every corner of this room is well thought out and in my opinion... magazine worthy.

Check out the closet.

It's one of my favorite things in her apartment.

C'mon, let's take a closer look.

It's so neat and organized.

Her side of the closet...

His side...

And here's the bathroom. Oh and pardon my hands in the picture.

Well, we've reached the end of the tour. Thanks so much for joining me and have a blessed day.

Kitchen Shelf Love

Well, it's been raining on and off for days now, but you won't find me complaining. I actually don't mind the rain at all. As long as I'm not caught in the middle of a huge down pour without my umbrella, it's all good. I enjoy the sound of rain drops tapping against my windows and splashing on the roof and I am mesmerized every time Iook outside my windows in a rainstorm. I know, I'm a little odd... Lol.

Of course, since I've been indoors more, I've had more time to surf the web. One of the projects I'm currently in the middle of is putting up two floating shelves above my kitchen sink. I'm so excited. Honestly, I can't even remember how long I have been admiring the look of floating shelves in kitchens, but trust me it's been a long time. I have found so many amazing ideas that I am so anxious to share today.

Now, all of these shelves aren't placed over the sink. There are quite a few that were put up in other areas of the kitchen as well and I have been happily drooling over each of the lovely, unique styles. I just hope you find a ton of inspiration like I did.

I am kind of crushing on this beauty over at My Paradissi…Eleni describes this one in detail  I am just loving the entire eclectic feel…subway tiles…brass hardware…open shelving…wood…stainless steel…wood floors and a bit of flair with the rug.  It all comes together and it all works.  I also adore that you can stylize the space …:
